Installation

1. Does Guida install all of their products?
   Yes! All of our products come fully installed by one of our very own expert installation crews. We take care of everything for you, giving you nothing to worry about throughout the entire process.
   
2. Are Guida’s installers factory trained?
   Yes! All of Guida’s installers are carefully selected and factory trained to install our products the right way. You can rest assured that the installer we send to your home will display the professionalism and the customer-oriented values our company believes in.
   
3. What kind of quality workmanship can I expect from Guida’s installation crew?

4. How long will it take from the day I order to have my product installed?
   All orders are custom-built to the exact specifications of your home, so expected delivery time of products may vary from job to job. However, you can rely on us to do our best to deliver your product in a timely manner, without compromising the various stages of quality inspection required before your product is finished in the factory.
   
5. Will my house be left clean and orderly once the installation is completed?
   We understand that it’s not just how well we install the product on your home, but it’s also in what condition we leave your home that matters. Guida trains all of their installers to ensure that the customer’s home is left in the same condition it was prior to having the work done. We make it painless for you by treating your home as if it was our own.
   
6. After installation, can I count on Guida to provide me with the on-site service I need in case I were to ever have an issue?
   Guida stands behind all of their products and installations, so if you were to ever have an issue, you could call our Service Department at 1-877-GO-GUIDA to have one of our trained service techs sent to your home to assist you. All of Guida’s installed products come standard with a One Year Full Coverage Service Warranty.
   

Insulated Steel & Fiberglass Entry Doors

1. Does Guida manufacture the Entry Doors?
   Yes! We manufacture our very own line of custom Insulated Steel and Fiberglass Entry Doors. So when you buy from Guida, you’re buying directly from the factory! All of our entry doors are custom-made to fit your home, and meticulously built with only the finest quality materials available in the industry today. With advanced technology and market research, we are confident that our products will consistently outperform those of the competition.
   
2. How would you compare the quality of Guida Entry Doors versus those offered by many of the other door companies?
   If quality is what you want, then quality is what you’ll get at Guida. 3. When customizing my entry door, does Guida have many glass selections and options to choose from?
   Guida has the largest selection of custom door sizes and decorative glass designs available on the East Coast. Guida also has the ability to custom-design glass to your own unique taste. As for options, Guida has a wide assortment of hardware to choose from, and in addition to our large selection of stain finishes and standard paint colors, we are also able to custom-match any special paint finishes you supply a sample of, to coincide with your home. So if we don’t have it, no one does!
   
4. Are Guida Entry Doors ENERGY STAR qualified?
   I am glad you asked, and the answer is yes! After having our steel and fiberglass entry doors independently tested by the NFRC, Guida is proud to have our entry doors meet and exceed the requirements necessary to earn the ENERGY STAR qualification. 5. What is the difference between Steel and Fiberglass? Which is better?
   Most consumers get the wrong perception regarding the differences and benefits of Steel versus Fiberglass Entry Doors. To recommend one over the other would have to be based on your own personal needs and preferences. However, you won’t go wrong with whichever one you choose when you buy from Guida. Both steel and fiberglass offer ENERGY STAR qualified options, they are both secure, and they are both durable with their respective steel and composite reinforced edges (as opposed to the industry standard wood-edged doors). This eliminates common issues such as the door warping, swelling, cracking, splitting, and twisting; giving you a perfect fit and easy operation all the time. Still want more information? 6. What is the difference between Replacement installation and New Construction installation?
   Replacement installation is the process in which your entry door comes pre-hung in an 18 gauge steel frame, and is installed over your existing wood frame. This cost effective method gives your door added security with its reinforced lock plate. This installation is common in older homes that tend to have deep, oversized wood jambs that would require custom order material, inevitably increasing the cost, and when the quality of the current wood jamb is foreseen to remain in good condition.
   
   New Construction installation is the process in which the entire wood jamb currently on the home is completely removed, and is replaced by an entry door that comes pre-hung in a brand new wood jamb. This installation is almost always recommended if the structural integrity of the current wood jamb is in bad condition, or in newer constructed homes that are built with the standard builder quality wood jambs, due to their high potential to having problems such as rotting in the near future.

   Guida exclusively supplies and installs custom decorative aluminum storm doors from ProVia.
   
2. What is the difference between the Decorative Aluminum Storm Doors supplied and installed by Guida versus those offered by many of the other door companies?
   There is no question that Guida prefers to supply only the best quality products in the industry, and ProVia Storm Doors follows that trend. These decorative storm doors are not like the typical aluminum storm doors you’re used to, rather ProVia storm doors are a heavy-gauged aluminum product that provides beauty, durability, security, and energy efficiency! Our vinyl and wood clad windows are available in replacement double hung, casement, slider, bay / bow, picture, garden, glass block, and more; with a wide variety of options to choose from such as Low-E & Argon, decorative glass, internal blinds or shades, numerous color selections, self-cleaning glass, and much more. The possibilities are endless!
   
3. What can I expect from the windows I buy from Guida?
   As with the doors we manufacture ourselves, Guida’s reputation of top quality products extends into the windows we supply and install. 6. What is Low-E & Argon?
   This optional upgrade is where insulating your home is taken to the next level! Low-E is a special coating applied to the window panes that reduces the U-Value and helps stop the loss of heat from your home, thereby improving thermal performance. It also helps limit possible fading to interior carpeting, furniture, and other materials. Argon is a non-toxic gas that is securely filled in between the panes of glass that serves the same purpose as the insulation in your house, limiting the loss of heat from your home. Low-E & Argon is an inexpensive upgrade that undoubtedly pays for itself by saving you money on your high energy bills, and providing added comfort for your family. In order for your windows to receive the ENERGY STAR qualification, you must add the feature of Low-E & Argon.
